Website Construction (CMS-Based)
Website Construction (CMS-Based)
Project details
What we need
- Development of a new website using a Content Management System (CMS)
- Training to ensure Organization's staff members can update content and manage the site post-launch
- Note: This project is for a website built with a Content Management System (CMS), such as Wordpress, Squarespace, Joomla, Drupal, or Weebly . A CMS-based website can be maintained and updated easily (no coding required!)
Additional details
Los Angeles Team Mentoring has an existing Wordpress website (www.latm.org). We need a skilled volunteer to help change the layout of 2 pages ("Programs" & "Become a Mentor") and a few very minor changes (i.e. center a button). I will be there to support our volunteer every step of the way. All assets and content will be provided.
What we have in place
- Since we will be improving on LATM's existing website (www.latm.org), the volunteer will not be starting from scratch. Pages will have the same look and feel (i.e. color scheme, font). I will verbally provide a general layout but am open to suggestions. I will also provide all assets and copy, I just don't have the technical coding/Wordpress knowledge.
I will provide whatever the volunteer needs for the website. I'm always happy to help!
How this will help
This project will save us $16,822 , allowing us to dedicate more of our resources to the programs and youth, particularly in light of this unprecedented public health crisis. We would be extremely grateful to have your support.
LATM is expanding, adding a skills-based program for youth and an e-mentoring portal. Unfortunately, that is not reflected on the current website. Adding this information is critical to helping LATM connect with youth and recruit volunteer mentors.
Project plan
Our mission
Our mission is to guide middle school students growing up in challenging urban environments to recognize and reach their full potential as members of our community. Through a school-based team approach to mentoring, young adolescents are given the tools and support necessary to make positive choices during a critical period in their lives.
What we do
Los Angeles Team Mentoring connects over 1,000 middle school youth with 300 caring adult mentors during critical out-of-school time. LATM's team mentoring approach and activity-based curriculum helps students develop skills that support school readiness, gain confidence, and build bridges to a brighter future.
